Weekend Reads!

Weekend Reads Meme!

Hosted by Escape Reality Through Books and Bookaholic-ness

Hello, hello! Today I will be sharing with you what I have been reading over the weekend and what I am planning to dive into this week. Let's get started!!

What I Read:

Last night, I finished The Death Cure, by James Dashner. I gave this book a two and a half out of five stars. I was pretty disappointed with this book as I enjoyed the first two books much more. I don't want to jump into a synopsis for spoiler reasons, but let me know if you want a review on the book. Basically, I felt this book had no structure with the plot and a lot of the character development weakened.

What I Want To Read:

Today , I am hoping to jump into The Kill Order, by James Dashner. I thought about not continuing this series, but I would honestly just like to get it off of my TBR. And who knows, maybe this will be much better! Whether I will by The Fever Code is still to be determined.

This week, I am hoping to maybe read two or three books. I am not much for weekly or monthly TBRs, but I will give it a shot. After The Kill Order, I would like to start The Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini  Taylor. After that, I would like to start Legend by Marie Lu. If I still have time left in the week, I might jump into The List, by Siobhan Vivian. I am so excited to read all these books and will let you all know what I get into!!

Book Themed... CAKES? Yes Please!

Book Themed... CAKES? Yes Please!

So I recently stumbled upon one of the most brilliant ideas created by mankind. Book Themed Cakes. I know, right? Putting together two of my favorite things, reading and eating. Here are a few wonderful cakes I found that are almost too pretty to eat. Check it out:

Now, while I would never be able to create these masterpieces, (I ruin pre-made cookies) I think these are absolutely adorable. Let me know what you think about these baked books.

Much Love,

Welcome!

Welcome!

Hello fellow book lovers and blog readers! My name is Maren and I'm 14 years old. 14, I know. I'm the walking, breathing, living example that my generation is not ENTIRELY consumed in technology. While I'm not completely innocent of not using technology, I have a love for books. I have since I was a little girl and hopefully will continue to for the rest of my life. I started this blog for the simple fact that I want to talk about books. Bare with me on this journey, for blogging is honestly completely new to me. I am so excited to get to know you, and grow this blog with you, and share this wondrous love of books with each and every one of you. So whether you are 8 or 80, I welcome you to this blog, a blog for all ages, genders, and readers. I hope you enjoy reading this book blog as much as I enjoy writing it.

Much love,
